Rush Athletic Development presents Athletic Enhancement Courses (AEC's), beginning Summer of 2009.

Performance Enhancement Course Level I

RAD's courses are designed with a "no shortcuts" approach.  This means that all athletes must complete Level I before moving on.  Our philosophy is that too often the base stage of fitness is overlooked so that the "flashier" components of athleticism can be exploited.  We think that especially in young athletes that is not correct or safe.

Objectives:
    Enhance athletic performance of participants:
        Foot speed
Anaerobic Endurance or the ability to go 100% at the end of the game or match
        Reaction time
        Muscular and connective tissue strength

    Increase confidence and athletic awareness:
Educate young athletes on proper training techniques to prevent future injuries
Teach young athletes the proper movements for their sport
Expose young athletes to training techniques that will assist them the rest their lives

Class Size: 6 persons/preferably same approximate age.

Duration: Up to 75 minutes/4 times a week for 4 weeks.

Description:
Clients will receive an initial assessment and measurement profile.  This will document exactly where the client is starting.
        Bodyfat
        Girth Measurements
        Movement analysis
        Joint Balance

Trainer will then coach the class through a training regimen that will progress as the students progress.  Core strength and awareness will be the focus of Phase I.  Since the core musculature is activated before any movement of the extremities, this core training is vital to the athlete young and mature.  Power production and reaction time is extremely dependent upon the strength and synergistic coordinating ability of the core musculature.

Upon completion, clients will undergo final assessment and measurements.

WHY WAS RAD FORMED?

RAD focuses on the building an athlete from the inside out.
Starting from the ground up and balancing all forces on the
body before trying to place them in a cookie cutter program
to make them "Big and Strong."
